BIO question: Your biggest challenge?

Sunset at Venice Beach, California image by LeAnn, as seen on linenandlavender.net - http://www.linenandlavender.net/2013/04/bio-question-your-biggest-challenge.html

You must live in the present,
launch yourself on every wave,
find your eternity in each moment.
~Henry David Thoreau

Living in the present moment.  It's such a beautiful place to reside, yet how often are we there...not regretting the past, not worried about the future?  It's an ongoing challenge of a lifetime – some 2.5 billion or so seconds we have on this earth to practice – each moment another opportunity.

Animals and children naturally dwell there and I find when I'm faltering, I only need to look to them to show me the way.

(They make it look so easy, don't they?)

Today, begin to adopt the following habits:
Talk to the universe.
Listen for its reply.
Be on intimate terms with Nature.
See the life in everything.
Carry yourself like a child of the universe.

Oh my gosh, that's so CUTE! Did you make it? Find it? Love the way the toddler places the leash on the ground so carefully.

That video is pure joy and shows the art of living in the moment. Yes, it's a constant pursuit... Thank you for the gift!

Thoreau was a wise one - as are you for drawing our attention to something which should be so obvious, and yet we do get so caught up reflecting on the past and worrying about the future. Wise words indeed!

To the six love ladies above: Thanks to each of you for stopping by and for your kind words. I too smile each time I play the video. It just warms my heart and I was happy for the opportunity to share it. I was thinking today how interesting it is that something as simple as this little video has the ability to bring one back to center and how those few unassuming moments can impact so many others, transporting us there too…it crystallizes how important it is to live in the present moment not only for ourselves but for the benefit of everyone around us, as well.
I am still making my way around to visit each of you/the BIO contributors. l&l Readers: If you haven't yet, be sure to visit each one of the talented writers above - I'll include the link again here to Splenderosa, once there, scroll down to see all contributor's thumbnail images/links: http://www.splenderosa.blogspot.com/2013/04/by-invitation-only-april-2013.html

LeAnn, this is a lovely, wonderful & inspiring post you've given us for our monthly "By Invitation Only" gathering. Vicki sent me an email telling me how overwhelmed she was with her reader's comments, so was I. Brilliant! Thank you so much for participating.
